Gas engines in continuous operations/CHP plants: Full of energy
The especially low-emission, 4-stroke Otto gas engines are available both as 4 and 6-cylinder in-line engines and also as 12-cylinder V-engine with ratings of 54 kW to 420 kW. MAN gas engines offer manufacturers and operators of CHP plants in particular many benefits: They are robust and compact, very reliable and highly economical while offering a good price/performance ratio.

Explanations
(1) ISO standard fuel stop power to DIN ISO 3046/Teil 7, norm reference conditions to DIN ISO 3046, air pressure 1000 mbar, air temperature 298 K, humidity 30%.
(2) Performance data for natural gas Hu = 10 kWh/Nm3, methane ratio (MZ) > 80, mixer model DELTEC VM 5352
(3) Engine operations with MZ<80 only after liaising with Nuremberg plant
(4) Performance data for other types of gas after liaising with genset builder
(5) Cooling water quality to MAN regulations
(6) Lubricant oil quality for gas engines exclusively to MAN works norm
(7) Heat quantities for cooling water and exhaust: Usage levels of up to 90% of primary energy can be obtained in cogeneration plants. The absolute amount of heat energy which can be used individually depends on the technical conception of the entire system. Concrete information on the heat balance is possible thanks to our technical documents relating to each individual project.
